Okay is anyone else tired of this story? I don't understand why so many find this so hard to believe. I understand and agree that the way all of this went down was totally bogus on so mnay levels but lets face it...he is HUMAN and not the character he portrayed in any of his feature films.

I guess America is so surprised because he had the audcaity to do something like this to Ms. Shiver. When we look at that big picture they are a married couple just like any other that have their issues. It is crazy to have to deal with crap like this in the public eye though.

Hollywood never ceases to amaze me. Men and women have affairs everyday some even under the spouse's nose. Out of those affairs lots of times children are conceived. I think that all marriages have there ups and down but I think the worse thing that he did was to continue to live in that house with is wife and mistress as if life was normal. You have to try and fugure out what was going through his mind at that time. How could someone in good conscious continue a lie like that for 14 years! That in itself speaks volumes about his character.

Did he think that it would never come out? Did he think that he is Arnold and no one can deny him? Or did he figure however and whenever it comes out that the blow would be less painful now that everyone was older?

I think that Arnold was only thinking of himself and what he could accomplish with Ms. Shriver at his side and he had to keep it that way until he had no more use for her. In my opinion that was the biggest betrayal of all...keeping her around for self gain.
