Walk of Shame

Being in Miami amidst all of the Lebron James hoopla, a couple of my girlfriends and I embarked on a conversation about infidelity. Specifically, infidelity among athletes. I am a firm believer that if a sentence includes the words "all", "none" "always" or never", it is usually not true. One of my very close friends made the comment that all athletes cheat and that it is just a matter of time before Lebron James takes the walk of shame, alongside Kobe, Tiger, Shaq and so many others. While all may be an overstatement, I also believe that many athletes cheat. Actually, I believe that many people cheat, regardless of occupation or gender. I think that infidelity goes far beyond just physical contact with another person. Those "innocent" flirtatious text messages or that feeling that you have deep down inside for someone other than your spouse is also cheating. What about lunch with the cute co-worker from the 3rd floor whose intentions are anything but noble, Is this also cheating?

What constitutes Infidelity? Is emotional cheating less destructive than physical infidelity, or is it one in the same?

Share your thoughts.

Happy Friday,
