I am a first time Navy Mom and I have to tell you that it has been a very emotional two weeks. Not knowing how my son is doing and when I am going to hear from him. I keep thinking is he ok, is he miserable, is he homesick, is he getting enough food??????? 
Thank God for the internet because I have been able to find lots of information. The best thing that I found is a support website where Navy Moms from all over share a wealth of information that really has helped me. I found out when I can expect to hear from my son and how often, (not much during basic training). I found out all types of information that really has eased my mind quite a bit.
