I must say that my favorite part of hosting is the fact that I get to try out new Martini recipes. None are original, but all are great. I usually tweak the recipes here and there to my liking. For those that will be hosting the first parties of 2010, be it large or small, I would like to share a few of my favorite Martini recipes that are sure to be a hit. These recipes are also good for those “boo” moments, with just you and your significant other. They even work for those nights alone, when you just need to unwind. Honestly, I can’t think of a time when a good Martini isn’t fitting….enjoy! Remember to drink responsibly and to make 2010 the best year ever!
Caramel Apple Martini (My Fave)
First, drizzle caramel into an empty Martini glass and place in the freezer while preparing the other ingredients.
2 Parts Schnapps Butterscotch
2 Parts Apple Pucker
1 Part Vodka
Shake in a chilled shaker and serve in the caramel glazed Martini glass.
Garnish with a Granny Smith Apple for appeal….yum!
Blue Martini
First, drizzle blueberry syrup into empty Martini glass and place in the freezer while preparing the other ingredients.
2 Parts Vodka
1 Part Blue Curacao
1 Part White Creme De Cacao
Shake in a chilled shaker and service in blueberry glazed Martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon or maraschino cherry.
Jolly Rancher Martini
First, add 30 Jolly Racncher candies and Vodka (enough to completely cover candy, approximately 2 cups) into a container and refrigerate for about 24 hours. Choose flavor of your choice but they should all be the same. Watermelon and Grape are my favorite.
Next, shake in chilled shaker and strain into Martini glass.
Lastly, add a splash of 7-up to give the drink some fizz…..yum!
Happy New Year!
