Hobo’s Question of the Day

Valentine’s Day has come and gone and as much as I like to say that I don’t care about having a date for the big day. Every year, each day building up to Valentine’s Day I secretly think about all the romantic and nice events that are advertised to remind me that I will be doing movie night by myself. Then just the other day I was “complaining” about this with a friend of mine and she sent this message to me that I haven’t met the right one yet and I would know he is the right one when:

1) I first make the decision for a mate on a spiritual and intellectual level, before it's made on an emotional one.

2) Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life"
(Proverbs 4:23).

3) Whenever you meet a man, you need to get clearance from
God, check out his attributes, and then allow your heart to engage.

4) Check out the fabric. Is the person mate material?

5) You have like interests, like goals in life, like opinions on basic life issues.

So, Hobo’s question is..... are there really guidelines or “rules” to follow when one is searching for one to date or potentially marry? Or is dating and marriage just the result of random acts of chances by two people?

Looking for answers,

Hobo
