Hobo’s Question of the Day

Hobo typically does not have a difficult time telling someone no or saying that I don’t want to do something or can’t do something. However, lately I have been feeling more as if I should be more like “super friend”.

I have a couple of friends who continue to make bad decision or just can’t do right. Most recently one of my friends happened to get herself re-evolved with her ex-boyfriend, who continues to cheat on her and disrespect her.
She recently found out that she is pregnant and does not know what she should do or if she wants to even tell him about the pregnancy. As a friend I feel as if I should offer advice and help as much as much as I can. But part of me feels some ‘burn out” as a friend.

So, Hobo is asking should a person always provide support for a friend or should a person acknowledge that there is only so much they can do for a person and know when to just say no?

Looking for answers,
Hobo

  1. All relationships have a purpose. You know who to hang around when you want to laugh,or the person that's a good listener, or even the one that you can only stand for a few hours at a time. If you are "burned out", move on. The good thing about friendships...you get to pick.
