Happy Monday! As I contemplate summer camps for my daughter, I am tasked with what I am going to do with my time. How am I going to enrich my mind? Everyone I know is aware of my four favorite pastimes: travel, reading, shopping and crossword puzzles. Travel is taken care of, new crossword puzzle books are ordered and shopping is a constant. However, reading is always a tough one.
Now that I take the train to work, I have been able to catch up on reading. In the last few weeks, I have read: “eat, pray love” by Elizabeth Gilbert, “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett, “Known to Evil” by Walter Mosley and two by my new favorite author Stephen Carter, “Jericho’s Fall” and “The Palace Council”
Now, I am in search of new reading material. I would love to hear ideas on new books and new authors. I have been in a void since Robert Ludlum died. People have recommended Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “Committed” and I might check it out.
So my request to my fellow bloggers is for any books that you or someone you know has read, found interesting and would recommend as great summer reading. I am open to most genres and like to have my interest piqued.
Here’s to happy reading and learning.
Peace and Love,
Sandals
