"What you have done to me, is already done to you." This is one of my favorite lines from Color Purple.
When I think about those powerful words from Ms. Celie, it could not be more true.
Today I would like to talk about deception. Deception can come in my different forms. When we add a little extra on to our deductions at tax time, that is deception. When we are in school and we grab the Cliff notes or the movie instead of reading the book assignment, that is deception. The worst type of deception is what happens when people that you trust are not who they appear to be.
My question is, what do you do when the covers are pulled off and the true person is revealed?
In the past, my first thought would be to go run and give them a beat down. Thank God for allowing me not to live in my past! But now my approach is to forgive, sit back, observe and watch correction take place. When we are deceived by our family or friends, it hurts to the very core of our being. Though their first intention may not be to deceive, but after a while kindness is taken for weakness and the person that has deceived you will feel that they have not done anything wrong.
As a reminder, picked up the faithful word of God, turned to Romans 12:19 say a prayer and go to bed. You will find a solution, comfort, and peace.
Going forward you will know that all is well.
Word to the wise: Seek God and ask for discernment in ALL things.

This article is great and very true!!! God's grace and mercy is sufficient. I am a firm believer that you should not waste energy and definitely not exert negative energy on someone who has hurt you or deceived you. Let go and let God and watch HIM do wonders in your life!
