I must admit that I have become a Facebook fanatic! And while I don’t spend a lot of time on FB, I do have to check in a few times a day. But I’ve always been one for social networking…so this is just perfect for me.
Anyway, while on FB, I like to take some of the quizzes that people write. I had the opportunity to take a quiz “What is the Theme Song of Your Life?”. The result was “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. Now when I saw this title and artist, I had no idea what this song was, but thanks to good old www.youtube.com, I found a video. I LOVE THIS SONG!!
So I started listening to the words and thought that they were spot on for me! There are 4 parts that absolutely speak to me:
• Feel the rain on your skin…no one else can feel it for you
• I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
• Live your life with arms wide open
• Today is where your book begins…the rest is still unwritten
Talk about speaking directly to me!! It speaks to the fact that I have to live my own life, it speaks to my personality on doing things differently, it speaks living life BIG and it speaks to the fact that today is the first day of the rest of your life---and I am in charge of making whatever is next happen. For where I am right now, this song is going to become my anthem. Take a listen (link below) and peek at the words (also below) and hopefully it will inspire you as much as it did me.
Write your story!

Lyrics to "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Oh, oh, oh
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
Oh, yeah, yeah
